Elin Löfman (1998, they/she) is a theatre maker from Sweden currently enrolled in the Directing department at the Academy of Theatre and Dance in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
As a theatre maker, they often work with movement-heavy, multimedia performances to create universes in which they question the bounds of our reality. They are interested in the allure of what lies beyond, the desire to see what hides in the mist, and the sensuality of the unknowable. Drawing from an existentialist point of view, they often work with themes surrounding gender, body/embodiment, magic, and technology, to explore the terms of existence in a world on the brink of collapse.
In form, they often work with soundscapes and contrast in light to create spaces that stretch beyond their physical limitations, creating borderlands where the hidden gains a presence of its own.
